Pros
Great pay and benefits overall. Lots of opportunities to advance or move laterally across the company for onsite employees. Nice workspaces and facilities. Great place to begin your career and great place to join as Director or above that wants to influence change and lead growth at a fast pace.
Cons
The current culture is one of blame and burnout with perpetual fire drills. Passive aggressiveness has become acceptable again. The expectation for everyone to be an overachiever is causing a lot of friction, duplication of efforts, and unhealthy competition that is being rewarded with promotions into leadership positions or termination vs employee development. There are many managers and above that should not be in people management positions as their skills are limited to being subject matter experts and/or very strong individual contributors. There is no appreciation for what has been developed by past leaders. Existing processes are often retired for inefficiencies by new management only to be rebuilt to the same level of inefficiency due to lack of funding or prioritization. Change is constant, reactive, and short term focused. Generous leave benefits are not effectively used with many employees working during PTO and long hours each week.
