Disappointing and Unprofessional Hiring Process at Cvent

      Pros

Disappointing and Unprofessional Hiring Process at Cvent

      Cons

I recently went through the hiring process at Cvent for the Operations Associate role, and my experience was highly disappointing. I was contacted on February 18th, and the entire process stretched for over a month with long, unnecessary delays. After multiple interview rounds, I was left waiting for weeks for the final interview, with no updates or responses despite repeated follow-ups. Eventually, after 10-12 days of silence, I received a regret email without any explanation. This lack of professionalism and transparency wasted a crucial hiring period (March) for my batch, limiting my chances of securing other opportunities. A company of Cvent’s stature should value candidates' time and communicate effectively rather than leaving them in uncertainty for weeks. I hope they improve their recruitment process to make it fair and respectful for future applicants. Would I recommend applying? Only if you are prepared for long delays and poor communication. #HiringProcess #InterviewExperience #Cvent #JobSeekersBeware

      Pros

Employee-centric company with a flexible work-from-home policy. Good management believes in transparently sharing updates about the company's performance and development.

      Cons

The human resources department needs improvement. Recent hiring trends indicate the recruitment of candidates for positions they were unsuitable for, leading to subsequent difficulties.

Save Yourself from a Career Blunder!

      Senior sda
      Former employee
      Gurgaon, Haryana
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

1)The pay is okay, compared to the market. 2)Work is fun if you like finding solutions. 3) Exposure to SAAS and Events industry is on the high. 4) Opportunities to create a network with clients is high 5) The work can be challenging but is never monotonous.

      Cons

      1) There is no work life balance. You work for 12 hours in a 9 hour shift, with only ungrateful behaviour from leaders. 2) Claims to pay well where in actually the company pays peanuts in comparison to the work put in by the employees. 3)Biased Management 4) HR saves leadership against POSH claims by employees 5) Highest retaliation against whistleblower 6) Their products have a gazillion flaws but all they service clients with is “make-shift” solutions. Product improvement is a a myth and SLAs for such are never concrete. 7)Teams claim to be cross functional but are highly critical of each other’s work making it appear to be a war between departments. 8) The rate of success in terms of Career growth is only high for the employees who have good relations with the Management. Others do progress but at a much slower pace. 9) They hire to fire. The LND Creates unnecessarily stressful environment during training which goes on for 3-6 months. 10) There is little to no accountability when it comes to promotions or yearly ratings. Leadership mostly use the term “bell curve” to justify anything and everything. 11) Some teams don’t even have proper documentation of processes let alone work on process improvement. SOPs are created when the need of hiring new team members arise. 12) Campus infrastructure in Gurgaon is below standards. They have like one or two floors in a building in Cyber City and advertise themselves as if they own the entire cyber city. 13) HRBPs are cruel and are often found conducting themselves as if they own the business. They lack professionalism.
