Pros
In general, people don't breathe down your neck and you can WFH.
Cons
1876 is a fairly new internal creative agency AT&T is trying to establish with the worst parts of large-company bureaucracy, with the worst parts of a start-up structure.
Expectations are very high, volatile, and everchanging. Leadership is quick to throw people under the bus as they can't seem to keep their footing on whatever process they are trying to roll out.
Since 99% of employees are contract, any tiny mistake can (and will) get you fired. Leadership has actually admitted they like using only contractors as they are easier to get rid of, and that's created a very tense work environment.
It is joked among employees; 'who survived the night/weekend' as it's weekly, if not daily, there's a message of 'XX is no longer part of 1876, we thank them for their service and with them luck in their future'
