Shepherd Center proudly sponsors the wheelchair division of Atlanta's iconic AJC Peachtree Road, one of the world's largest 10K events, drawing around 60,000 runners annually. Founded in 1982, the Shepherd-sponsored division not only spotlights elite wheelchair athletes but also embodies our mission to advance mobility, independence, and inclusive competition. Each July 4, we organize and fund the division, supporting travel, lodging, race-day logistics, and athlete hospitality.
