Torch is our internal recognition program designed to celebrate the big and small moments that make Prometheans shine every day. Beyond recognition, Torch is what truly inspires the feeling of being seen and appreciated for the impact Prometheans make. That sense of gratitude is what fuels our culture and sets us apart. Every quarter, our torch team gets together and honors outstanding Prometheans who went above and beyond. Cheers to our Q1 2026 How Very Promethean of You Torch winners! Ten years of Family House — all of them with us in the mix. Since 2016, our Porch Prometheans have been proud to volunteer alongside an organization that shows up for families when showing up is everything. We’re so grateful we got to celebrate that together. Happy anniversary, Family House Inc. it's been an honor to be in your corner. 🍦🥳🫧🎈🌟
Every other year, our team gathers for Homeward - a few days of real conversation, shared meals, and the kind of thinking that follows you home. This year brought us to Carmel Valley Ranch, where our theme was 'Built to Evolve’, exploring adaptive leadership and what it means to stay grounded when things shift. We laughed, dug deeper, and left a little more clear-eyed about what we're building together. Heading home now with full heads, full hearts, and a lot of appreciation for the people shaping our Neighborhoods every day.
Our Service Prometheans recently completed the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) training, strengthening their expertise in pool operations, safety, and water quality management. The training provided valuable hands-on knowledge and industry best practices, ensuring our teams are well equipped to maintain safe, clean, and well-managed pool environments for our Neighbors. It was also a great opportunity for our service team members to learn together, share experiences, and continue growing in their roles. We’re proud of the team’s commitment to professional development and to delivering exceptional service across our Neighborhoods.
Thank you to this incredible group of Prometheans who came together for the recent Second Harvest Food Sort volunteer event. The collective effort resulted in an impressive 19,872 pounds of food sorted—nearly 9 tons—helping support more than 600 families experiencing food insecurity. The time, energy, and heart that each volunteer brought to the effort are what make moments like this possible.
We spent Earth Day the way it should be—outside, a little hands-on, and in good company. At Coyote Park in San Mateo, our team joined the San Mateo Parks crew to clean up and care for the native plants around the rose garden. A little dirt (the good kind), a little teamwork, and a space that’s better for it.
Recently, our team congratulated Rose Echano on 25 years with the accounting team at Prometheus! Over the past two and a half decades, Rose has been a steady force behind the scenes, bringing consistency, expertise, and a deep commitment to excellence in everything she does. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and dedication have made a lasting impact not only on our team, but across the organization. Beyond her accomplishments, Rose is someone her colleagues can always count on, whether it’s offering guidance, sharing insights, or simply showing up with a positive attitude day in and day out. Thank you, Rose, for 25 years of hard work and unwavering dedication. We’re so grateful to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to many more moments ahead!
"It was such a fun and heartwarming experience. We spent time making toys and blankets, and of course, there were plenty of cuddles shared all around. It was truly special to see everyone come together and enjoy the moment. We got to pose for cute pics as well. This was Park Place’s very first Porch event and we partnered with HSSV. I’m happy to say it was a great success! We had neighbors join us (Park Place, Montrose and Tillery), in addition to our team members, which made for a wonderful turnout. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so memorable we’re looking forward to many more like this!" Yen Gomez Park Place Neighborhood Director
Rain or shine, our friends at Forest Park Conservancy show up – 2,000+ volunteers logging 7,000+ hours each year to host educational hikes and keep the trails in shape. We figured the least we could do is keep the snack stash strong! Last week, our Portland Neighborhoods pulled together 468 snacks to say thank you to the crew behind the trails we love to wander.
Our recruiting team had a great time attending the Menlo College Spring 2026 Career Fair as part of Career Connect Day, one of their largest campus events of the year. The event gave us an incredible opportunity to connect with talented students and recent alumni, share insights about our organization, and discuss current opportunities. The conversations with new faces made this event especially rewarding. Thank you to Menlo College for hosting such a well-organized event and to everyone who stopped by to learn more about our team. We’re excited about the next generation of talent and the connections made along the way!
