In honor of hashtag#WomensHistoryMonth, we’re recognizing Nancy Holway (pictured right) whose early work in computer programming helped carry out the analytical work for the design of radar systems for detections and trajectory prediction of intercontinental ballistic missiles. She investigated the statistical programs of radar detection and measurement, the SAGE height-finding problem, and the Army’s program of detection and defense against low-flying aircraft in battlefield areas. Nancy spent her entire career, 37 years, at the Laboratory. hashtag#MITLLhistory
Today on hashtag#InternationalWomensDay, we’re spotlighting some of the talented women who contribute to the Laboratory's mission to develop innovative technology and transition it to operational use in order to enhance national security. These ten women are only a small fraction of the thousands of women who have been enabling the Laboratory's vital work since 1951. hashtag#WomeninSTEM hashtag#WomensHistoryMonth
