June is Pride Month, and we’re proud to celebrate alongside our LGBTQ+ colleagues, communities, and patients. InterDent is thoroughly committed to Diversity & Inclusion; respecting diverse voices and perspectives is key to fostering an environment in which everyone, including our patients, feels valued. Gay Pride commemorates the series of violent acts between police and gay rights activists, also known as the Stonewall Riots, which began in the early hours of June 28, 1969. After police raided the Stonewall Inn bar in New York City’s Greenwich Village neighborhood, the gay rights movement was born. It is a time to recognize past struggles, past victories, current progress, and to celebrate your unique and authentic self. This month is the ideal time to support and foster an inclusive work environment where all of our team members feel heard and supported. At InterDent, we believe that everyone deserves to bring their authentic self to work every day, as our collective sum of individual differences only makes us stronger. We embrace and encourage our team members’ and patients’ unique differences; moreover, we are committed to educating our team on key issues in Diversity and Inclusion and continuing to rally behind the message of equality for all.
