We were honored to attend the Massachusetts Association of Applied Private Schools (MAAPS) 50th Anniversary of IDEA celebration at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute in Boston, MA. This inspiring event brought together nearly 400 educators, families, advocates, and policymakers to reflect on the incredible progress made since the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act was passed in 1975. For our team, it was a powerful reminder of why we do the work we do every day: ensuring that every student has access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. Listening to the voices of families and educators and celebrating the legacy of IDEA reinforced our commitment to advancing inclusive education and advocating for the future of special education. We are proud to stand alongside MAAPS and the special education community in honoring this landmark civil rights law and continuing to build a more equitable educational system for all learners.
