Last week, our Awaze Women in Tech group hosted an Early Careers networking event to help drive our missions of inspiring more women into the industry and creating a network to support each other and grow 🔥 The evening was filled with new connections, hearing about plenty of insightful projects and lots of lessons on confidence, finding your feet and landing that role. This was followed by MRJ Recruitment giving our audience an insight into how recruiters can enhance their experience when seeking new roles. 💭 Our own Daisy Doyle hosted a panel with 5 inspiring women discussing the topic 'Education to Industry', sharing their personal experiences, struggles and celebrations. 📣 Overall, it was a successful evening with plenty of food for thought for everyone to take home. Following on from our record-breaking Easter performance, we've gone from strength-to-strength delivering our best performance for August. Despite a challenging economic climate, our Novasol brand contributed to one of our busiest Augusts ever, with over one million guests staying in our properties across 20 countries. We saw a remarkable surge in key markets in Europe, with all-time bookings in Denmark, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and Norway. And in the UK, bookings through our Hoseasons and cottages.com brands remained steady for August 2025 and occupancy rates were up 2.5% year-on-year across both brands. Key highlights from the month include: 📈 Record-breaking bookings for NOVASOL across Europe 🛬 Denmark, Croatia, and Italy leading with the highest guest arrivals 🏡 UK occupancy up 2.5% year-on-year across Hoseasons and cottages.com 🐾 23% of bookings included a pet – reflecting demand for pet-friendly holidays ✨ Guest satisfaction up 30%, with record cleaning scores Looking ahead, CEO Matthew Price said: “We’re already seeing strong forward bookings coming in for the 2026 season, which is a cause for optimism. Awaze at DHL Run 2025 At Awaze, we believe that teamwork goes far beyond the office, and this year’s DHL Run in Denmark was a great example of our culture in action. In total, 132 colleagues from across the country gathered for an evening full of energy and fun! It was great to see so many colleagues supporting each other, whether running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines. For the first time in recent years, we welcomed participants from several of our local offices and our Recruitment team, adding even more teamwork and connection across the business. #LifeAtAwaze
Making Memories Happen: Our 'Do Something Awazing' Impact 🎯🙌 Last year, we launched ‘Do Something Awazing’, as part of our commitment to support the local communities we operate in. We announced we’d be raising funds and awareness for the Family Holiday Charity in the UK and Dansk Folkehjælp in Denmark. Both charities do amazing work helping to make memories happen for families who truly deserve a holiday. We're delighted to say we exceeded our target of €12,000, raising a total of €13,600. And as part of our commitment to Do Something Awazing, we’re matching that amount, meaning we'll be donating a total of €27,200, which will be divided between the two charities. These funds will help send 136 children on holiday — many for the first time. Over the past 12 months, our incredible colleagues have gone the extra mile (literally!) — running 5Ks, half and full marathons, organising bake sales, bike rides, quizzes, and raffles — all to support this cause. We’re so proud of the Awaze team and the difference these donations will make in the lives of so many families. #LifeAtAwaze #DoSomethingAwazing
2025 is shaping up to be a standout year at Awaze and our record-breaking Easter performance set the tone. We’re proud to share that the first half of the year has delivered strong trading across the business , with Easter 2025 marking our highest-ever booking volumes, even surpassing the peak years of post-COVID demand. Key highlights so far: 📈 6% growth in Easter booking volumes vs. 2022 (our previous record) 💶 €93 million in Q2 revenue, up 2% year-on-year 🏡 Occupancy up 3% 🔁 51% of revenue now driven by repeat bookings ⚖️ Stable pricing, even in a competitive market This performance reflects the growing demand for flexible, self-catered travel and the strength of our brands, platforms, and team across Europe. Our continued investment in service is paying off with guest and homeowner satisfaction increasing markedly. As our CEO Matthew Price perfectly put it: “Our teams pulled out all the stops to deliver a record Easter this year, putting us on track for a record and blockbuster summer. Customers are telling us they want a more tailored experience, often with more space and flexibility, such as self-catering or pets, than provided by large hotel chains.” We’re also seeing continued growth in direct bookings and mobile app usage, thanks to ongoing investment in our digital platforms and customer experience. Awaze has been shortlisted for the Women in Tech Employer Awards 2025 in three categories. We’re delighted to share that we’ve been nominated for the Best Employer Network, Best Initiative of the Year, and Outstanding Woman in Tech – Lucy Auckland. Huge congratulations to Lucy Auckland, Product Director – Awaze Platform & Services, who has been shortlisted for an individual award. Lucy’s leadership and drive has been instrumental in shaping our initiatives and reflects the impact she’s made both within our organisation and beyond. Over the past two years, growing our Women in Tech network has been a strategic priority at Awaze. From school visits and public speaking to charity partnerships, internships, and lunch & learns, we’ve been working hard to empower the next generation of women in tech and strengthen our Women in Tech community Awaze. The Women in Tech Employer Awards celebrates employers and individuals closing the gender gap in Tech. The awards will take place on Tuesday 11 November 2025, at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London.
