The Aledade Policy Institute is joining the National Association of ACOs for our annual Hill Day today where our partners are advocating for ways to advance value-based care. We'll be sharing how physician-led accountable care organizations are transforming health care delivery and improving patient outcomes nationwide. Together, we're making the case for policies that help primary care practices and FQHCs thrive while delivering high-quality, affordable care.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' 2024 results for the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) show that Aledade accountable care organizations (ACOs) saved Medicare more than $1 billion - nearly 20% of MSSP's entire savings for the year - by improving the quality of care and patient outcomes.
This week, Aledade appointed two national health experts to our Board of Directors - Shawn Guertin and Joneigh S. Khaldun, MD, MPH, FACEP. "Adding their expertise and proven track records delivering impactful results will help us advance our mission to create value-based care that is good for patients, practices and society," shared Farzad Mostashari, co-founder and CEO of Aledade.
