Pros

Clothing Allowance - $1,200 at wholesale price + tax Ability to be an entrepreneur/creative work place

Cons

- Broken commission structures that penalize top performing employees who don't adhere to outrageous sales goals implemented by corporate and management. Employees are essentially robbed of money earned from commissions and given 1% commission when promised 3%-6%. - Company "policies" consistently change on a weekly basis without any explanation or reason, creating an unsafe work environment for employees. - Store employees are placed under constant pressure to deliver outrageous sales goals and are asked to harass customers by management until the customer says no more or stop. - Employees are not allowed to work any overtime hours, but are expected to come in early and stay late on a weekly basis. If by accident you work over your allotted scheduled time, you will be reprimanded by management and corporate for doing so. - Unhealthy work environment that encourages employees to be competitive and highly aggressive with one another in order to push daily sale goals. - Employees are required (and scheduled ) for 30 minutes EVERYDAY to harass previous and current customers via e-mail or phone call about current sales and or promotions. In addition to that, it is mandatory to BCC (blind carbon copy) management on ALL e-mail correspondences with customers to ensure it is completed or else you will be reprimanded/terminated. - When short staffed, employees are not allowed to leave the store OR take a lunch break for 7-8 hours, which illegal and unethical. - Management forces sales associates to get personal and confidential information from EVERY customer before allowed to complete any transaction. (i.e. full name, personal phone number, home address, e-mail, etc.) Weekly reports are then sent out, printed, and required to be signed by each individual employee if they have not met companies standard (90% or above capture rate). - Employees are required to adhere to mandatory monthly reviews by store management without the opportunity to review their managers in return. These monthly "reviews" rarely lack any information on how store employees can improve in their current roles, but instead consist of personal attacks on your integrity, appearance, and personal hygiene. - The quality of clothing "guaranteed" by rag&bone to it's customers (and sales associates) is misleading and unethical. Products are often marketed as "luxury" or "quality guaranteed" but in reality are often mass produced overseas and made from poor quality materials., resulting in garments falling apart and becoming unwearable.
