My main issue stemmed from one upper-management individual who regularly took credit for my work, especially when it resulted in a major win. They showed little interest in projects until after a client bought in—then pushed me off the work entirely. Raising these concerns to HR didn’t go anywhere, and the situation ultimately contributed to my layoff. Overall, having worked at several agencies, this was the most toxic and confusing environment I’ve experienced, with leadership frequently talking behind each other’s backs instead of addressing problems directly.
