Pros

iWay has a technology warehouse that is similar to a candy store. There is availability for exposure to lots of different types of technology, and a great possibility for learning if you can handle learning it on your own. There is a lot of potential for good things from iWay, including decent benefits, and neat little employee perks. There are very helpful network administrators here, who will bend over backwards to get you anything you need to make your job easier. Peers are all very focused on getting the tasks done quickly and efficiently. Title promotions are available.

Cons

The upper management is severely entrenched. There is almost no information sharing what so ever. There are several good eggs in the carton if you can locate them, but the people who are in charge of the division are disrespectful, unprofessional, politically motivated, and the cause of much of the chaos inside. There is a massive amount of in-fighting. There is NO software development life cycle whatsoever. This place is straight up, cowboy coding. No plan for future innovation, no code freezes, constant quality problems, constant fire-fighting, fixes and features are 90% implemented due to customer demands, and lots of the work is being outsourced. Raises? Nope. Not enough emphasis on QA.

Pros

Expensive, outdated, not mainstream. That is the nicest thing I can say.

Cons

Expensive, outdated, not mainstream. Tech support is unresponsive, the software is unreliable and slow. Loses transactions, we have had many many issues. Threw it away after last than a year.

Pros

Growing company with a lot of competitive software advantages. Small company environment. There are lot of things that can improve the companies environment and techniques. The best thing is customer focus. We bend over backwards to get that to the customer. Full customer focus with high focus on customer satisfaction. Product creation can be done within minutes to the customer. The culture is good with a lot of long-time employees to give you guidance. I think Gerry is doing a good job for webFocus product line and does the same for iWay Software. There is a lot of potential to grow here.

Cons

Politics. Long time employees with job loosing fear. no knowledge sharing. creating vaporware. We are way behind in product lines. Our management thinks that the sales force doesnt read anything else on the internet or no other product awareness. Most of time we are playing catch up but our management thinks it is innovation. Still the product promised is deliverred and matures 1-2 years later. Lot of problems in the product which can be fixed with easy fixes. What to say. it is hard sometimes to sell something which doesnt exist. It is tougher when the customer tells us to install it when it is not there.
