Pros

Great work, opportunity to contribute to some great campaigns, experience in dealing with the downside of the advertising business (a necessity in continuing in it).

Cons

Senior management is disrespectful, projects psychological issues and has a tendency to change tactics so quickly you'll get whiplash. Fickle.

Pros

Very little overtime. Some very nice people.

Cons

Manipulation. Certain important people lack fundamental knowledge about how to run an agency. Values loyalty and friendship over knowledge and skills.

Pros

At least one positive is that the team, under the stresses of a work environment that is led by fear, often come together to try and do adequate work. Though, for a creative agency that touts skill-level, I am afraid that the team is rarely given the space to perform at the top of their game.

Cons

From the top-down, the company is a mess. The agency led by its partners suffers mainly due to its management and disrespectful environment created by Senior management who has a tendency to erupt in unexpected and volatile ways. The workload is too much given the level of staff at the agency. No care is given to the fit in regard to clients taken on and the strengths of the team. Promotions at agency are rare and tend to favour attrition and seniority over skill, which has led to some eyebrow-raising department heads who may be unqualified for their positions. There is no team building or stewardship at this agency. Branding is a weakness of this agency as evidenced by its own, which is outdated by over a decade.
