      Company's future is in meta verse

      Pros

      Competent Managers - I worked under two leads and both of them were knowledgeable and helpful. Good Team - I enjoyed working with them.

      Cons

      The main reason for me to leave was how the upper management was handling things. Some of the examples are: 1. Bypassing my lead to directly connect with me and assign tasks to me. 2. Lack of understanding of how things work and thus wrong expectations from the team. 3. Constant blame game and threats. Back biting one employee in front of others. 4. Employee averse policies. 5. Never takes recommendations from the tech team on deadlines and gives his own estimates to the client.

For the concerns you have shared, we do not fully agree to all the points. We are a startup and a fast moving ecosystem where outputs are highly encouraged with all the liberty to achieve the same. We are one of the most employee friendly ecosystem. For the advice, we believe in nurturing leaders with allowing them to fail in experimenting in their own way of execution. At the end of the day, the company has to run and business has to come and if the common goal is not achieved by the leaders, it is not a win-win situation. We regret for the experience you had, we hire competent leaders to lead and deliver desired outcomes and if that is not achieved by the leader, the bad experience is always mutual.

      A nightmare working here

      Pros

      - Meet some very cool and talented people. Not much politics among employees themselves. People were ready to support ad-hoc requests that would come ever-so-often so that others could deliver on time. So all in all good help from the team. - Managers / Leads hired were good natured and reliable. Considering the overall culture of the company I can say they were good at managing customer expectations against actual development time.

      Cons

      ** Bad Company Culture ** - Fake promises. ESOPs were promised to the employees multiple times but were never released. - Salary was never on time. - Even planned earned leaves is frowned upon. Employees are forced to shift their plans citing high work volume. But the thing is there is always work and there is always something important going on. ** Anti-employee policies by the HR department ** - They sent out an email saying that anyone who resigns will have take their manager's approval. I can't even make this up. - The FnF is paid out AFTER 60 days as per company policy. The HR will ghost you after your last day. Good luck getting anything after that. - They (rather than your reporting manager) would scrutinise pending work for employees in their sync call. Would use vague words like "I heard from someone" and "many people are saying" and "that person mentioned it but not in a wrong way". You end up explaining your work to someone who doesn't know anything about your work. ** The CEO's and Top Management's bad behaviour ** - EXTREME LEVEL OF MICRO-MANAGEMENT! - You would hear something along the lines "You make mistakes because you are not passionate about your job". Good luck defending that. - Shouting at employees at team meeting and publicly threatening to fire them. - Stalking employees on Linkedin to figure out who is going to quit - Playing blame games and dodging responsibilities. - Jumping into discussions bypassing the leads and managers and change requirements after the work is half way through. Basically acting as a client and treating his own team as a 3rd party service team. Ofcourse production suffered.

I am sure you must have got one of the best experiences in your professional career with numerous challenges of the evolving market and varied customer expectations. Unlike corporates & MNCs working in IT software services, hardware startups working in AI & data science the problem drivebuddyAI is solving is largely complex and requires efforts from each members of the team. Startups do not grow autonomously, it requires sheer efforts from founders & team and it comes with all pressures of putting hard work to achieve shorter timelines in a highly competitive environment. We're thankful for your contributions and apologies for the difficulties. We wish you all the very best for your future.

      Good work but bad management

      Great tech stack. Good learning curve. Supportive team.

      Cons

      Bad work culture. Product field is good but no proper roadmap of development. Lots of politics and blame game. Partiality between teams by upper management.

      Dear Employee, You were fortunate enough to work on a good tech stack and one of the most challenging problems in the world of AI where you could enhance your skill sets. We do not fully agree with the concerns raised. We hire everyone by sharing our vision and mission during the interviews only and then ask them to take judgement that whether you'll be able to handle the pressure or not. The product and technology we are working on is full of challenges and operating in India has challenges in its own and we find ourselves in one of the most successful products in the market among our competition. Certainly the company does its best in providing all the support and help for handling the pressure and helping you deliver but responsibility of delivery is on employee only. Hope you'd have learnt a lot from the opportunity working with us and it'll surely shapeup your career. We wish you all the best.
