Pros

Everyone is extremely nice, lucrative vertical.

Cons

The job/salary/benefits weren't close to what was described to me. I had two managers- The big picture managing partner that was completely idealistic, and day to day manager that really ran the show. I was told the scheduling was flexible and could work from home but was given a hard time the few times I elected to do so. I was also told I would make commission on up sales but they had no process in place and I was discouraged from the developers add additional services that would benefit the clients. Also we didn't fulfill the services outlined in client agreements, even after I pointed this out to management no changes were enacted. Our pricing was very up in the air, and as an Account Manager I was expected to negotiate deals- with a week's experience & no set price list. Even though the office is small communication between departments is poor and tense. They are putting all there eggs in Cynosure laser sales and I was discouraged from pursuing outside business. Could be a great company but they need a management/ operations overhaul.

Pros

So here are the pros. DocWeb is the perfect place if you are a recent grad. They offer great advancement and intra-company movement. Most of management is extremely young and moved up quickly, so if you can work here and prove yourself, you can gain titles that you wouldn't have been able to gain elsewhere. They empower their employees and encourage good morale. Work from home on Fridays. Fun, positive environment and a really great team. The managing partner is very progressive and is always open to new processes and ideas. It is nice to see that this way of thought is working for them.. because honestly more companies should jump on the bandwagon. I felt their open door policy to be true and non-retaliative. Pay is competitive and commission incentives are more than fair. I honestly would have stayed here a long time if I hadn't been hired away by a corporate company that offered incredible benefits and pay.

Cons

Zero benefits. No health insurance, PTO, or sick time. So you know that young management? 23 year-olds just out of college shouldn't be managing departments that they barely have a working knowledge of. Just my opinion. It is a small company that experienced most of their growth in the past year. It seems as though they just need to work through some normal growing pains. Nothing major. In my interview, hours and scheduling was promised to be much more flexible than it actually was. Given I had clients in 6 different timezones and traveled to weekend events, I was often on late night calls and putting in many after-hour hours.. I didn't like having to punch a clock and "put in my 8hrs" only to take calls late in the evening too. I wouldn't mind the evening work if I was able to come and go as I pleased (and was promised)... but my direct supervisor was a bit micro-managy and didn't like work from home if it wasn't a Friday. Lastly, all their eggs are in a basket held by a medical sales company with ZERO contract. 95% of their business is fead through Cynosure, a company that sells medical lasers. As soon as Cynosure finds a different agency to filter clients to, DocWeb's doors will be locked and out of business. That made my job security seem a little iffy.
