No longer the company I joined

Pros

Some very talented coworkers and industry perks

Cons

New leadership is just a boys club from a certain FAANG company. After three restructures in two years, the amazing former culture has been completely decimated. Employees are asked to take on more responsibilities for no incentive, working longer hours, with confusing and ambiguous roadmaps, with no upward mobility in sight. There used to be an effort towards diversity, now there is none. New leadership got rid of the DEI team within months of joining the company.

Pros

Decent pay and lunches. Innovative product as well.

Cons

-Cult-like environment, if you are not a running or biking enthusiast, get out. -Totally "woke" company. Make sure to align with all of their views of you're out. -No promotions or raises, make sure to negotiate a great starting pay (which they will give you) because you'll never see a raise. -Really toxic employees, they hire ex cons and people that literally do drugs on their lunch break. Honestly I'd stay away from this place. It looks very appealing on the outside, as most cult-like things do, but it's incredibly toxic. Even the way they all constantly pat each other on the back on just about every social media platform is kind of scary. This place is not good and I've spent too much energy already writing this.

Thanks for your time in writing this feedback. We aren’t afraid to say that in the past we have been focused on hiring enthusiasts but we are learning and growing and committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). We are aligning our DEIB strategy to the business and we are serious about it. This means that there are plenty of folks on the team who don’t run or ride but who are aligned to our mission and vision and yes, will encourage each other along the way.

Messy from the top down

Pros

Good healthcare, free lunch once a week, opportunity to meet interesting pros from the bike and tri world.

Cons

Zwift is a mess, and has been for a long time. From the top down, the organization suffers from a lack of leadership. Misplaced focus is a running theme. Executives are constantly forcing their own interests down the pipeline, with zero thought behind them, other than it's cool. Despite being presented with data driven research that shows that the demand is not there, when a project inevitably fails, the team is punished instead of the exec that made the choice. Employees are regularly left guessing on what the goal of a project is, as it seems the exec team doesn’t know themselves. There are multiple people in the company that people have zero idea what they do, let alone how they are still employed. There is almost zero promotion from within to a managerial level, let alone a director or C suite level. People are regularly let go with zero company communication, leaving the rest of the company wondering what happened, and wondering if their projects are still happening. Additionally, they laid off 30+ people in the middle of a world wide health pandemic. The company as a whole chooses to focus on things that make no sense. Instead of sound proofing the lab, or increasing benefits (which had been promised for years), money is spent on positions that don’t matter, trips that do nothing, or research to develop things no one asked for. HR turnover is CONSTANT, leading to nothing ever happening.
