Pros

Growing company, still riding the momentum of previous marketing efforts. Zimperium previously had a strong research team and strong endpoint development with notable publications .

Cons

Senior management remains unethical and mediocre, resulting in continuous negative employee and customer retention. C-Level executives in the company publicly appeared as clueless regarding security and machine learning making a negative industry reputation impact.

Poor engineering middle management and flimsy leadership.

Pros

Decent work-life balance, good HSA plan. Catered breakfast on Fridays, friendly coworkers

Cons

The research team and engineering team are completely silo’d apart from each other. There is not a single security expert in the engineering department at Zimperium. Potential clients beware. This company has gone downhill fast and is losing many engineers. Middle management within the engineering department is lacking and there are no QA engineers, just a bunch of manual testers. There is no product Vision and the company is not sustainable due to astronomically high AWS costs because the software is poorly designed. Middle management does not know how to effectively allocate their resources to rewrite/deprecate inefficient services. This company is in desperate need of a talented architect. The CTO’s at Zimperium are not leaders, they are salesmen. I had never seen the CTO enter the engineering side of the office a single time during my entire tenure with Zimperium.
