Pros

Innovative, fast-moving, scaling, growth trajectory

Cons

You must fit in and think the same. Not allowed to challenge the status quo, especially with CEO. Recently had a friend interview and the lack of reported professionalism isn't surprising.

Feedback from past, present and future employees is always valuable, so thank you for taking the time to write a review. You are correct, we are an innovative, fast-moving scale up on a growth trajectory. This is only one of the very exciting things about working at Ziing! We have an open-door policy at Ziing. Our CEO and leadership team certainly try to encourage employees to provide feedback so we can continuously improve. We don’t know everything however, we do know our employees are our most valuable assets – we listen to them and take what they have to say seriously, trying to implement recommendations as best we can while keeping aligned with our Strategy. Please know that Ziing lives by its core values of Humble, Hungry and Mindful. Alignment with our values and putting people into roles for long term success is important to us. Being Humble, Hungry, and Mindful isn’t for everyone, we understand that. We have received a lot of great feedback about our interview process which is evident in our retention rates. At Ziing we encompass people of different ages, races, ethnicities, abilities, genders, religions, cultures, and sexual orientations, including diversity of thought. We are committed to providing equal opportunity in all aspects of employment. We have a really good diverse group and a good visible minority ratio. We would love to know more about your thoughts around this and how we can improve. Please reach out to HR to discuss anytime. Ziing HR

Pros

- The product might actually succeed... if it ever stops drowning in endless requirements changes. - You’ll get to work with some really smart people—though they’re probably as stressed and overworked as you, so good luck seeing them at their best. - If you're looking for a crash course in how not to manage timelines, this place is a masterclass. At least you’ll learn what not to do in the future. - Paychecks arrive on time, so there’s that. You'll be compensated for the chaos. - If you enjoy working in a perpetual state of confusion, this is the perfect environment for you! Keeps things "interesting," right?

Cons

- No life, no growth, no stability, no core values – If there’s a handbook on how to demoralize employees, this company is following it page by page. - Developers? Estimating time? Nope. Manager swoop in, throw out magically low "costs," and then disappear, leaving everyone else to suffer under the impossible deadlines. - The product team seems to think we enjoy chaos. Requirements change faster than we can code, turning every project into a never-ending spiral of confusion. It’s not waterfall, it’s ----fall, fall, fall------. - Projects never hit the ground because the ground keeps moving. - Fun? Joy? Not a thing here. Stress and sadness have taken over. Every morning you stare at your laptop, dreading the stress to come. - No one’s happy, everyone’s exhausted, and morale is in free fall, dragged down by impossible timelines.

Pros

The first three months are ok, until you realize you have been conned.

Cons

They enforce the "Churn and Burn" on their employees. You are being lied to; your permanent position isn't permanent. They push you to give your all, stating that extra hard work is mandatory, including after hours and weekends. This doesn't end. If you question this or want family time, they let you go, citing budget issues. A few months later, they hire a new team to repeat the cycle. They use local talent for core features, then get cheap foreign labor for maintenance. They do not care about you. They ignore sound technical advice. Managers are incompetent with big egos, making them untrustworthy. They virtue signal about values but say all the right things - see through this. DO NOT TRUST HR - they are not your friend!

Dear Software Developer. There is a lot to unpack here and we appreciate you taking the time to provide candid feedback. We recognize we have work to do and don't always get it right. Regardless how difficult the feedback can be from former employees sometimes, we take them seriously and discuss each point at the Senior Leadership table. We are sorry your experience was as you describe and can only hope you found a more suitable fit.
