Pros

It's a stable company, they pay high salaries, good benefits.

Cons

There's a terrible hierarchical gap between management and employees within the company. Engineering managers systematically pressure employees. Bullying by managers is completely normalized. Technology is extremely outdated. They're locked into development and have no plans for innovation. Everything is bureaucratic. It can take months or even years to complete a job. Managers are always tempted to put employees ahead of upper management to maintain their positions.

Pros

Hybrid work exists, but that’s about the only perk worth mentioning but they track which days you are coming to office.

Cons

Salaries are below the market, sure there is bonus and stock but there is no guarantee. You work one year and then get nothing. They slap “needs improvement” on many performance reviews to avoid paying bonuses. Office gossip is constant, creating a toxic atmosphere. There’s a constant conflict between the old employees and newer hires. Long timers shut down fresh ideas and insist on doing everything their way, creating a toxic, stagnant environment where collaboration is almost impossible. Leadership is unapproachable and unhelpful, management ignores career development and rarely gives constructive feedback. When you ask about promotions, they dodge the topic of improvement and just ask how many years of experience you have. No regular 1:1s, no team building events, no monthly beers, and not even basic snacks in the office. The company refuses to adopt modern technology and people are uninterested in meetups, conferences, or even free industry events. There’s zero budget for professional development. Double standards abound, some employees get fancy mechanical keyboards while others can’t even get a proper mouse without going through an orthopedic evaluation. Workload is excessive, and then they complain about slow delivery. I thought about leaving within my first few weeks due to the number of broken promises during onboarding. Feedback surveys mysteriously stopped arriving after I gave low scores. They judge you when you complain about people and keep them accountable for the promises they give.
