Pros

Decent benefits and remote work

Cons

This cult's leadership pretends to care about employees and their wellbeing. Ask any ex-employee (quite a significant number recently) how they were treated at the end and the truth becomes clear. Cut off and discarded with an arrogance and coldness that defies belief. There is a cabal of overpaid and underskilled yes-men running the show with a stunning sense of entitlement that have somehow survived many hard working and productive people. The culture is definitely toxic and there is a growing desperation among leadership as their VC masters are closing their nets and with good reason. Management is sub-par and ineffective. It takes 3 or 4 of them (all long-time buddies) months to execute on strategic deliverables that 1 competent executive could achieve in a week. Headless chickens. This affects team performance and confidence and it's the salespeople who ultimately get punished. Ask any broker worth their salt what they think of YuLife. The terms "bullies", "pushy", "overpriced" and "childish" are recurring themes. Stay away!

Pros

Remote working allows you to avoid problematic individuals more easily.

Cons

C-suite and HR: - The C-suite and HR team are unqualified and lack the necessary training to effectively do their jobs, often failing to uphold the principles they claim to stand for. - The C-suite is tone-deaf/out of touch. After firing 15% of the workforce (Aug 2024), the CEO held a Monday "motivation" call where they boasted about buying property abroad and expressed how happy they were with their personal lives, finishing the call with a dismissive "onwards and upwards." This complete lack of empathy highlights how out of touch they are with the realities faced by their employees. - Junior employees may find themselves bullied into submission by co-founders, SLT, and HR. Well-being at YuLife: - For a company that claims to champion well-being, the number of burnt-out and depressed employees is alarmingly high (for other current employees of YuLife, I urge you to check the Mood Monitor submissions), with little to no support provided. - There is no mental health training for the staff, and employees dealing with significant personal trauma—such as returning from a miscarriage, mental health, or other personal crises—are often completely ignored and left to fend for themselves. Progression: - The business structure is incredibly flat, with little to no opportunity for progression. Promotions are based on favoritism, and nepotism, rather than any real merit or performance, and performance reviews or annual pay raises are almost nonexistent. Diversity: - If you don’t align with or resemble the co-founders, expect to struggle here. The company’s inclusivity image is merely a facade, with women and POC particularly marginalized. Two rounds of redundancies within 12 months disproportionately affected women and POC, raising serious concerns about the company’s commitment to diversity - For further evidence, take a look at the number of women or POCs in leadership roles. Reviews: - The company asks current employees to post positive reviews when negative ones appear, which skews the true workplace experience (filter to less than 3 stars for a true representation)

Pros

Some lovely and very loyal ( but naive) people who totally buy into the product. Good benefits - overly generous (to some) - which is great if you are one of the favoured ones!

Cons

They lack a depth of knowledge and professionalism in a number of areas, especially SMT. High staff turnover,(speaks for itself); in some areas they are totally dysfunctional. Other reviewers say it - the stated culture and the actuality can be very different.
