Pros

Good health insurance; really great co-workers; certain districts have excellent management and directives; good way to get your foot in the door if you don't have any Pharmaceuticals experience.

Cons

Company is undergoing rapid expansion, and lets a lot slip through the cracks. Coverage of current drugs being marketed is very poor, especially regarding Medicare and Medicaid. Commission is constantly being restructured, and never to the employees' benefit! Coupons created to aid in prescription costs are difficult for the pharmacies to use, and don't calculate to the copay price as advertised leading to angry patients and prescribers. Encouraged unscrupulous practices with specialty pharmacies make for a difficult time in ensuring scripts get filled. Management has broken into warring factions that negatively impact the employees. Lack of coverage and a big financial hit due to overuse of coupons has led to unhinged management attempts to salvage business through workers compensation providers. Target lists and call points provided to employees are inaccurate, with most of the providers targeted unable to write the scripts because their patients don't have the proper insurance coverage.

Pros

During early period reps did not receive much in salaries but were given well above normal commissions. Most reps that had decent insurance and Medicaid coverage made great money. Company was fun in the early years as hard work/ hard play was encouraged and rewarded.

Cons

Along the way when reps were making really good commission money commission structure changed and reps were no longer allowed the same commissions. Shake up in ownership partners plus change of drug promotion led to about 75% layoff of entire sales force. Ownership let a good thing get out of control and now barely can pay the light bill.
