Pros

4/10 schedule and flexibility which is nice. That's about it. Good PTO and health insurance benefits.

Cons

Poorly run company, bad relationship between company and client. Severely limited by scope of practice by company. Have to teach fitness classes which makes you feel like a glorified fitness instructor. Very boring. High staff turnover.

Pros

Work Life Balance. (4-10 hour shifts)

Cons

•High turnover rate- Everyone quits after 1 year or sooner •The ATC’s role is acting as fitness instructors. Work-Fit’s focus is Job Conditioning and that will not change. •Micromanaging of documentation •Work-Fit OSHA First Aid largely differs from OSHA’s First Aid: OSHA allows ATCs to perform 14 job functions while Work-Fit only allows ATCs to perform ~5 job functions. Review OSHA Section 1904.7 (b)(5)(ii) prior to applying than asking about it in the interview. •Lack of leadership and effective communication on a site level and upper management level •Filing complaints against a member in leadership is useless, 1 of 2 things will occur. The individual will keep their position and/or be promoted or you’ll give up and leave like everyone else. •Salaries/job functions for ATCs and exercise physiologist (EP) are the same. New hires will be offered higher salaries than current employees, while current employees will receive a 1-3% raise a year if you’re lucky. •You’re required to use PTO for the factory shut down up to 40 hours per year. You’ll be provided with the option to work extra hours to make up the PTO hours.

Pros

The people that I worked with were great on both the Work-Fit and Boeing side. The pay is slightly higher than most exercise physiology jobs and you can work four 10-hour days. The job is very easy and low stress.

Cons

Work-Fit does not care about their employees. They changed everyone from salary exempt to non-exempt to avoid a minimum salary requirement. The Boeing factory shuts down during the holidays every year, so we were forced to use PTO or take unpaid time. The PTO is not good and includes sick days. There is also a lot of micro-managing that was frustrating. There are yearly required quality clinics that last several days just to remind you how to do your very simple job. Employees are treated like they don’t have an education or work experience. There is no opportunity for growth. This job is not a good fit for experienced exercise physiologists.
