Horrible Firm

Pros

You get paid every two weeks instead of the 1st and 15th

Cons

This firm is NOT the place to be! I spent years at Wolf, and still with my hard work and tenure I was devalued, picked apart, and talked down to. Existing staff management is inexperienced. The turnover rate on staff AND management is VERY HIGH. This is the first law firm the office manager has ever worked for and it's very apparent. Since staff management is inexperienced and unfamiliar with the legal sector, micro-managers will be assigned to you to pick apart everything you do. If you call in sick you are questioned incessantly. And expect that a sick day will be brought up six months later when they decide there's something about you they don't like. There is NO staff appreciation at this firm. Stay as far away from this place as you possibly can or start working here but expect to be devalued, questioned and watched in a tense environment with horrible morale.

Avoid this firm like your life depends on it

Pros

The only thing I can even remotely consider a pro is that they have leftovers sometimes from attorney meetings.

Cons

Pretty much everything, but what really stood out to me is how down and depressed the staff is here. To be clear, if you are an over 50, white, male Jewish attorney you are not in the category I am referring to. However, if you are anyone else, this is not the firm for you. There is a tyrannical air to this place set by the leader of this firm. They don't invest nor respect their employees at all. In the time I was there, about 7 people quit. What is even worse is that they don't care. They treat those who have actually worked there and been loyal to the firm for years with disrespect so employees feel forced to leave and the firm can hire cheaper workers. There is no training for anything. There is no infrastructure, no order. The HR is a joke and is constantly being replaced. I cannot stress enough to look else where for employment.

Your first horrible office job

Pros

It looks great on your resume

Cons

Employer is condescending, there is lot of favoritism and I must say there is a lot of nepotism within the firm. The partners keep the company away from evolving, they refuse to set new ideas forward. Management micro-manages, and the open door policy is a complete joke. Although some attorneys are amiable, most of the attorneys are dry and don't even take the time to reply to you when you greet them. The division between attorneys and staff is extremely visible, it is sad and depressing. The pay is horrible, the benefits are basic and you are scolded for calling in sick.

Thank you for your candid feedback. I am sorry that your experience with the firm was not a positive one. The firm is now under new management and we are addressing some of the issues you describe. For the record, we have many employees who are happy here and have been here more than ten years. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
