Pros

Good product. Good pay. Pockets of nice people Challenging new projects

Cons

Heavy nepotism. If you do the right thing you cannot be here for long. Cofounders and their friends & family will stay here forever even if they don’t contribute to anything. The only cofounder who added value to the company was removed last year. You may survive if you always agree with the cofounders or join their group activities (MIT alumni association, Bible study etc) This company will stay afloat only for reasons like minority owned business and their false show of diversity&inclusion.

Pros

Good benefits, unlimited PTO, and the company leaders/founders are good people who want the company to succeed.

Cons

Typical startup growing pains, a little bit of organizational chaos, and high turnover.

Pros

Great concept/ idea for the platform created by super smart MIT grads. They had solid core values they used to hold themselves to everyday. Good low cost benefits, market rate tech startup pay structure.

Cons

They are clearly not in the operational or financial position they continue to try to reassure us about. There have been layoffs in multiple waves since last fall. People just disappear from every department and nobody wants to talk about it. The smart ones have had the foresight to see things were not going well and jumped ship. Many amazing and talented people have walked away or run was more like it. The product is clearly not ready for the market or can't be implemented successfully which we've heard is handicapping the sales team. All Hands meetings are really depressing now and they keep trying to spin sell that everything is great. Newer senior leadership has totally changed the culture from one of values, collaboration and respect to one of fear and intimidation. It's not a fun time to be here.

Pros

There were really nice people on the product team aside from leadership when I was there.

Cons

Product leadership failed to support and invest in hard working employees who actually knew what they were doing. There was SO MUCH nepotism, it isn't even funny. Honestly surprised they are still up and running due to the enormous amount of layoffs. Beware of this company--if they don't like you after a few months, they will not blink twice to let you go unless you went to the same college as them or know the co-founders from elsewhere. I left on my own account but I saw how horribly they treated valuable employees and looked the other way when employees with absolute NO experience made everything worse and chaotic. HR was a joke but they were pretty good at keeping their firing metrics high.

Mismanaged company

Pros

Startup culture, some great and caring people, cool product

Cons

Mismanaged company. Recent management changes brought in mid-level/upper level executives who barely understand both the business and how to run a company of the size. No one is aligned with each other on best practices. Layoffs were less of the issue than how they were managed with no regard to people. Lack of transparency in regards to company performance. A culture of working on tasks rather than strategy/meaningful projects. No work life balance, and no use of the unlimited PTO
