Pros

Beautiful office in Sydney. Some really great staff.

Cons

Terrible company culture that trickles down from the Directors. Inherent sexism exists in the office; some of the Directors speak in an appalling manner to their teams. Whilst they claim to be progressive and innovative, they do not allow for any flexibility and overwork a lot of their staff. They prioritize their bottom line over the well being of their people.

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to share your comments & concerns. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I was personally really gutted by this review. We are committed to creating an inclusive, flexible and innovative environment for all our employees, and I am sincerely apologetic that your experience at WT has not delivered on these factors. We value and consider all feedback and we have just conducted an employee engagement survey with a Great Place to Work in December. This has given us some great insights into where we are excelling and what we need to work on. As a result, we will be conducting employee focus groups to better understand the areas we need to work on and commit to doing so. To this end, I would value a confidential conversation with you so that I can understand more about your experience and perspective. We have been working very hard to cultivate an environment that supports diversity and promotes women in our business. In the recent December survey, 85% of our employees felt that “People here are treated fairly regardless of their sex.” Of course, we want to get this to 100% and we will continue to work to do that. In the Sydney office the result was even higher with 8.9 out of 10 agreeing that “People here are treated fairly regardless of their sex”. We are equally committed to creating a flexible environment that supports our employees and promotes health and wellbeing. Our agile work environment supports employees working more flexibly and we have been growing and developing our workforce to ensure workloads are balanced. We still have a way to go but I think we’re at least on the right path with 9 out of 10 of our employees agreeing that “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work.” However, we want that experience to be consistent for all employees and this is something we are very focused on and committed to achieving. All of that said, I‘m thankful that you took the time to share your feelings so that we can do more to ensure we create a consistent experience for everyone and I would welcome a more detailed confidential conversation with yourself.
