I strongly discourage anyone from working at Wind

Pros

Young international team (most now gone)

I am not the type of person who would usually complain or write something negative but I felt compelled to leave a review to warn others. At the beginning it was one of the best jobs I ever had (this accounts for previous positive reviews), at the end it was the worst. During my time at Wind I experienced and witnessed: bullying, toxic leadership, non-existent company values, no investment in employees learning and development, acute micro-management. There was/still are some incredibly talented individuals at Wind - so much wasted potential because of poor decision making.

Lost potential - bad management team

Pros

When they started in 2018, they had a chance to make it to the top 5 in Europe. Incredibly strong team in the beginning - international, experienced and creative. They played a part in building the e-scooter industy.

Cons

Current top management in not European - they are making numerous mistakes alienating customers. Repeated GDPR violations, supported by Chinese/US executives - European customer data is accessed by unauthorised parties. Their environmental responsibility focus is lost in 2020. Weak management team. No benefits package.

Pros

Good travel opportunities (pre COVID)

Cons

Bad work environment where you are micromanaged, lack of leadership and direction from all levels of management and a lack of care shown to employees (referring to them as “superheroes” is actually quite patronising, and does not make up for the extra hours you are expected to work which are unpaid). Every mistake is excused by “we’re a start up”, which can only be used for so long. It’s sad to see a company which had so much potential be in the state it’s in, but until management can take on board other opinions and advice, sadly nothing will change. Also, the Chinese working culture doesn’t work in Europe.
