Pros

- My direct manager was the best I ever had, and I'll always remember/cherish the relationships I built with my team. - Free swag (YETI cups, tshirts, etc)

Cons

The CEO responded to a previous review with “WGI has… never missed a year with bonus payments”. Let’s be 100% clear: We have not received bonuses for over 3 years. There is no profit sharing. WGI does not pay for your insurance. Your base pay is your entire pay. If you are told elsewise, it’s a lie. Pay was competitive enough for a couple years. Not anymore. This year my percent pay increase was 2.7%, which doesn’t even touch the cost of living increase. Money is spent frivolously and not on overhead investments such as training, quality monitoring, or employee development. Working from home is not an option, even if your position does not benefit from an in-office presence. It is a rigid policy with very few exceptions. Individuality is not encouraged. You will fit into a box or you won’t fit in at all. I’ve seen several amazing employees leave because they didn’t fit the rigid roles. Creativity is stifled and participation is discouraged. Basically, it’s their way or the highway, and if you want to work there long-term, just keep your head down.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’ll do our best to address your concerns: 1. We have maintained a consistent history of paying bonuses each year, which are performance-based and awarded based on meeting specific goals. If you didn’t receive a bonus, it may have been due to performance alignment. We’re sorry if this wasn’t communicated clearly. 2. At WGI, we cover over 70% of healthcare costs, including for employees, spouses, and dependents. This is part of our commitment to supporting our team’s well-being and our first core value of Passion for People. 3. Pay increases are structured around individual performance and market trends, rather than cost-of-living adjustments, to ensure competitive and merit-based compensation. 4. Regarding training and development, we make a significant annual investment in these areas, with dedicated funding to support professional growth. If you didn’t have access to specific training opportunities, it may have been due to project priorities or your manager not recommending you for training. We’re open to hearing specific suggestions on how we can improve here. 5. Our in-person collaboration model is central to our commitment to quality and client satisfaction. While we understand your desire for flexibility, but we believe our approach best supports our team's efficiency, quality, learning, and the service. 6. We embrace all ideas and an open-door environment. It’s unfortunate you seemed to have missed this. We are sincerely appreciative of your six-year contribution and are hopeful you found employment that aligned with your needs. We wish you all the best!

Yes, we are proud to be client-focused, and to empower our project managers to determine the scope and fee that is in the best interest of all parties. I am also pleased to inform you that our recently completed engagement survey indicates that the Austin office is highly engaged and scored higher than the norm when compared to national statistics. This week, we shared these results with the Austin office with WGI’s entire senior leadership team present and actively listening to our valued associates. It seems your opinions and those of your peers are misaligned, but we would like to know more. Since you indicate current employment with WGI, would you please schedule time with HR or any of the senior leadership team to better understand each other? We do care but we can only get better with transparency and honest, open communication.
