Pros

Fulfilling work helping people with mobility challenges. Flexible hours and supportive team environment. Good training with a strong emphasis on safety.

Cons

Physically demanding, especially assisting passengers. Pay could be better, and career growth opportunities are limited. Dealing with traffic and weather can add stress.

Pros

You work indepently in a bus, can listen to the radio and there's some downtime between pickups. Some days are very slow, other days are hectic.

Cons

This company has no regard for their employees well being. There are no scheduled breaks or lunches in an 11 hour shift, you eat and rest when and if you can. The pay isn't near industry standard and it's close to minimum wage. The company is overly concerned with absenteeism but does nothing to stem it. Drivers are fatigued after 11 hours, it's physically unfortable driving for so long. Money is available for incentives if you choose to take on more hours, or have perfect attendance but apparently no money for higher wages.

An OK company

Pros

Steady work, occasional training, no chance for advancement.

Cons

Long hours (11-hour shifts), overtime pay is non-existent, high turn around, buses are old gas guzzlers that go through close to 80 litres of fuel per day for a mostly empty bus driving around town.

Decent division to work

Pros

Some of the supervisors are very chill and really care about their clients. Benefits for full time employees (30+ hours). Good work/life balance

Cons

Pay. Starting wage is $19-$20. Not a living wage. Some days you get overbooked with calls and won’t get breaks for 5-6 hours or you won’t be given enough time to get to your calls.
