Pros

I had plenty of pros to share before the new management took over the company. I was not with the company for much longer after the old management had left the company. I saw very few pros in that short time.

Cons

Management. The new management took the company's signature product (VERDE) and completely flushed it down the toilet in favor of a completely unproven business/product. The entire VERDE development team was pretty much chased away even though it was the bread and butter that brought in the company's revenues. VERDE was completely abandoned for a product that had not even been released yet, much less started to bring in any revenue.

Worst CEO of my career

Pros

The VDI space was interesting and potentially lucrative and VB had some interesting technology.

Cons

Company had issues from the start. Over-reliance on the IBM partnership, suspect product quality, dependence on questionable Asia-Pac deals, etc. That said, the single biggest issue was the "leadership" of Sam Cece. He took a high-potential company, albeit one that was clearly struggling, and destroyed it within a year. Lies to AV to fund his office drinking problem was the strategy. I would also advise anyone reading these reviews to look through the series of positive reviews all coming in over the past 2 months. Strike anyone as curious?

Pros

When Sam Cece was brought in as the new CEO, his first order of business was to re-evaluate everything from the top down, inside and out. And that's exactly what he did. A new executive team was put into place, various departments made additional key hires, quick and decisive product decisions were made, and we revamped our partners channel, all of which breathed new life into the company and rejuvenated the start-up spirit. The company maintains a positive and casual culture. Upper management is committed to being the best and it trickles downward. Mediocrity isn't tolerated, and everyone is expected to bring their A-game when they walk into the office. We hold each other accountable. Everyone is expected to row the ship, but people are also encouraged to re-charge their battery and take the time to be with and enjoy the family, and then come back to work stronger and more energetic. The executive team welcomes new ideas and thoughts from every person, from any position. Got a gripe? Speak up. Everyone is expected to wear their big boy or big girl pants to work. They don't have twenty people stacked side-by-side in collaborative work spaces (aka, the sardine effect). The building is setup to provide employees with an office space with four walls and a door, while still providing common areas for meetings or collaboration on an as needed basis.

Cons

The building has incredible views and covered parking, but the location makes travel grueling. There's next to nothing around the office for quite a few miles to eat, so be prepared to brown bag it if you don't want to waste time and gas trying to find something for lunch. Competitive market. Tough competition. Not for the faint of heart.
