Pros

Sandrine, the founder, is a lovely and clever woman. She tries to create a good company culture with a willing and ambitious workforce. Everyone plays an important role for the success of the business. Ideas are easy to implement and processes as well as procedures aren’t defined.

Cons

However, the operational part of the business is lacking structure and leadership skills. Managers have no ability in managing people, empathy, create constant pressure, tend to speak mainly French and have weak performance goals that are often too optimistic. Especially one manager is tough to work with and puts his moodiness on others. Also, it is an intransparent environment where performance isn’t rewarded, feedback is mainly provided in a deconstructive manner and progress as well as development aren’t desired. Furthermore, employees have a different set of working hours which leads to dissatisfaction on a daily basis. Turnover of employees is quite high for such a young company and talents are leaving.

Pros

What the company is doing is admirable in terms of giving wide scale easy access to vintage items. This business idea is clever. Sandrine (CEO) is admirable in her drive and ambition.

Cons

The atmosphere not encouraging for junior people in the business nor senior. People are not supportive of one another. The atmosphere is always tense. Senior people favour certain favoured individuals and listen to their views rather than taking a more professional approach. There is more and more French speaking in the office, which lends it self to a untrusting environment as you are not sure what is being said. The turnover of new people is high. I would approach company with caution

Pros

I have enjoyed my time working at Vinterior so far. The management gets hiring right as I've met a diverse range of people who are all very talented in their own area and are easy to get on with. Employees are encouraged to work on subjects that would advance their learning and contribute massively to the company's success. The leadership team is very transparent about the state of the company's affairs and they make sensible decisions. I would suggest Vinterior for anyone who wants to work outside of the comfort zone, work with talented people and wants to feel like they are truly helping to grow a company.
