Pros

There seems to be an endless supply of funding There is a lot of cool tech being played with Cox has really generous benefits

Cons

The company cannot execute, every deadline is missed and its not going to change PMO has overrun the company and reports directly to the president More politics and backstabbing than the Game of Thrones No profit in 3 years and probably not for many more years to come Constant rumors about RIF

Thank you for your honesty. Your feedback has been heard and we are discussing this internally. Like most startups, we know we’ve had our issues delivering on-time but have also seen very good progress scaling the business recently and improving our internal processes. A company culture that is politically driven is certainly not the environment we want. I would encourage you to confidentially speak to someone on the leadership team so that we can improve. My door is always open! Shereta Williams, President, Videa.

Not a good company

Pros

Good benefits It is a very relaxed work environment

Cons

Videa is extremely political, and the senior leadership have unwittingly rewarded those who play the game well. Sometimes it seems as though the tail is wagging the dog (and the dog doesn't know it). Some of the most respected and strong performers have been systematically expunged in political maneuvers. There used to be a sense of excitement that we were going to change the world and innovate. This is no longer the case. The company currently lingers in a slump with no path out.

We have made changes in strategic direction, our internal processes and leadership over recent years but these have been made to make the organization more effective to better meet market demands. It is true, however, that perceptions differ from person to person. The fact is that we are experiencing our strongest year ever and are very encouraged about Videa’s future. Thank you for the feedback and your comments have been socialized with the leadership team.

Pros

There are free drinks and snacks in the office, most managers are flexible when it comes to work hours and work from home time, Cox benefits are pretty solid. The idea for their software is great.

Cons

If you're looking for a place where if you work hard you will be noticed, this is not it. HIGHLY political, seriously the worst nepotism I have ever encountered, and egos from very outspoken and ignorant people make for a miserable work environment. When issues are brought up to management, they are ignored or the victim is the one who ends up punished. Videa has lost a lot of it's best people to a lack of experience from the leadership team. No one in charge has any software experience and doesn't understand what it takes to build something as bit as the Videa platform. This causes constant fires that need to be put out and an incredible amount of scope creep. Product Owners have little to no experience with being PO's and are more concerned about themselves and how they look than the actual product which makes it incredibly difficult for engineering to execute in a realistic time frame.
