Pros

A small company, which means you'll likely do more than what is on your job description (pro and con). Good location in Copenhagen.

Cons

This company is disorganized, badly managed and has no regard for its staff. I came in at a senior level and am used to hard work and long hours. This company, however, has no regard for its staff and only cares about its bottom line. It treated its staff horribly during COVID and required a lot of convincing to protect its staff during the pandemic. The senior management team did not trust its staff to work during Work From Home and didn't want "everyone to think they are on vacation." They had absolutely no thought to their emotional well-being or physical safety. The C-suite team is highly disorganized and changes priorities from one day/week to the next, which makes it difficult for staff to carry out their duties. From what I witnessed during my time there, the C-suite team is led by an egomaniac who takes a difference of opinion as a personal slight. There is no other way but his way, which also makes any decision-making or strategy by staff impossible. Everything must have his seal of approval so staff is never empowered. The company is only interested in the bottom line and looking good to those on the outside. On the inside, it is an absolute mess with unethical practices, few processes and unhappy staff. They had me working without the proper work permit and failed to pay me on time - and I know I'm not the only person they did this with. Also, their senior management team has no diversity (all men and no people of colour) and are focused only on ROI (with no budget). Stay far, far away from this scale-up company, if you can.

Pros

A company that has mastered its remote setup. VB owes its success and survival to its team of remote developers. Great place to work if you are looking to join as a remote developer.

Cons

Unfortunately positions in CPH are exposed to numerous challenges which mostly stem from unprofessional senior management. VB is a family run business which is far from being a flat structure organisation. It's hierarchical structure, lack of empathy, unethical practices, questionable management have caused people to leave after 1 to 1.5 Years. I
