Pros

Remote work. Decent health benefits. DEI is great, and they are a very inclusive company. Most of the people I work with on a regular basis are great.

Cons

Where do I start?- Horrible leadership and management; frustrating restructuring; and plain unfairness. The company was really great when I started and honestly one of the best places that I had worked at, but it really took a turn for the worst in the past year or so. It could have been due to the new CEO/stakeholders. They reorganized several departments and split up teams into smaller cohorts. Instead of hiring more people, they have significantly increased the responsibilities of the rest of the employees without even offering a slight pay raise. In fact, they technically demoted many of us because our job titles changed to reflect a lower role. After bringing this up, management quickly dismissed me and said it didn't matter. And even before the restructuring, I had to fight tooth and nail for a pay raise bigger than the offered 1.5-3% annual pay raise. The chaos of new and constantly changing responsibilities makes it feel like we're working for a start up and not an established company. For example, they tell us task A is super important and needs to be quickly addressed- then in a few months, it doesn't matter anymore and we need to prioritize B instead. But, you are still reviewed on A and B for the whole year. Yet, management still emphasizes that it doesn't matter even though it does matter because it affects your annual review which then affects pay raises, promotions, and even employment. Last year, they pushed us to work much harder and longer for a project with the promise that the pace would decrease to what it was after it was done, but it's stayed consistently high. In a company meeting, leadership acknowledged they said that, and then said they wouldn't be slowing down anyways. Many people feel constantly drained including myself. Another instance that really irked me about the company is that if you're approved for a promotion, you still have to wait at least a year for it to be finalized with your new title and new pay. However, your responsibilities still change and you are working on your "approved" promoted title responsibilities without the pay. During the restructuring, it was even more frustrating because people had to wait longer and instead of giving them promotions for these roles which they have earned, they hired more middle management. So if you're looking for career opportunities within the company, they're only going to be lateral movements. They have also changed time tracking policies several times within the past year, and it has become increasingly frustrating. One example is that we are expected to meet 75% of our work goals, but the catch is that PTO isn't excluded. So if I take all my PTO, even if I do all of my work on the days I am working, the max I can achieve overall is around 80%. This doesn't include the work from the mandatory meetings and classes they ask of you and your mandatory professional goals. This policy may not seem too bad since 80% is technically still "passing", but it matters for annual reviews and pay raises. To add to this, new lower management micromanages everything. Yes, they are flexible with time (in some cases), but the micromanagement is still very much present. Side comment - I agree with someone else's review that the 5.0 star reviews here with a high CEO approval rating are fake. This place is a sinking ship. If you're considering working here, jump to the next application.

Pros

Talented and passionate colleagues who genuinely care about their work. Opportunities to work on interesting projects.

Cons

Leadership was completely gutted and replaced with new executives, resulting in major shifts in priorities and culture. There’s little to no concern for work-life balance. Everything is treated as urgent, with unrealistic timelines and constant pressure. Pay has never been competitive, especially considering the demands of the job. Raises and promotions are rare and not tied to performance in a meaningful way.
