Pros

As a new employee ( apprentice level ) I see very little beyond a disorganized, chaotic, unsafe, unplanned business.

Cons

Upper level management has little or no respect for its employee's whether a contract employee or direct. Work hours are NOT balanced well. There policies are not followed at all to how they are written in the manual. All here have seen $ 0 increase in the last 2 years of employment, and a huge hike in health benefit cost for family members. ( My wage is less than what I made in 1983 ) Training is laughable, be prepared to discover it on your own initiative. Much of the equipment is outdated, with lackadaisical response to how dependent it is. Safety is your problem, management is not interested in hearing of issues. Cost addressed are usually of errors, but a lack of follow-up, training, etc. seems to be the norm, which is the deep underlining root of the cause. ( My whole experience here thus far, has left a unsettled feeling for future flights on aging aircraft. )

Pros

Great benefits which are availiable after first 30 days of employment. For aircraft engineers any pretty much anyone who isn't in the HR Department have a chance to apply for upper positions that become open and available quite often. Great for Contract workers only - they made nearly double what the direct hires made and never had to worry about the Cons...

Cons

Unless you are a contract worker, do not expect anything more than what your beginning salary was established at. In other words, four of five years may go by before ANYONE (other than contract workers because most of you know what contract labor entails..) will (or will not) receive a raise. It only took about a week or two of working in the HR Department when several employees came to me personally and gave me the 411 on this situation. The person who assumed my position in HR worked there for almost 4 years and was 'promised' a promotion, a pay increase, etc. and unfortunately that never happened. That is why she left. I only worked there for 3 months but it was long enough to see how little integrity HR actually has. Confidentiality? Not so much. I was written up for a number of bizarre reasons, and within a few hours the entire HR department had read the write up and came to me and told me. Just because you work in HR, does not give you the right to dig through another HR employee's files, especially when it is completely irrelevant to you. Employees were initially very apprehensive to even talk to me because I worked in HR. I figured they were just scared of loosing their jobs but I found out later what was really going on. It was ridiculous. Human Resources... hmm, aren't we supposed to be on your side? I quickly learned about their unfair discipline procedures and of course - favoritism. If you want to work for a company who promises raises and annual bonuses and such yet 4 years pass without either of them delivered, then this is a great company for you. (Hence the sarcasm).

Pros

Great potential in this company for growth with its new location at Pensacola,Fl., eager to see how far the company will take it.

Cons

some of the processes and mentality of the seasoned workers and management could benefit from training that strengthens working relationships...
