Run, Don't Walk Away! Awful Company

Pros

4pm snack time plus the great support of the co-workers. Everyone has to support one another because of the horrendous company culture and micromanaging CEO.

Cons

There is little to no leadership development; less than average pay for NYC; Awful healthcare benefits; Management sees everyone as being replaceable.

Based on this review I see how snack and sick time makes it a perfect combination for you. It might be wise of you to re-think your priorities. UtiliSave has a lot to offer and we support those employees who wish to succeed as well as those who value more significant aspects of employment.

Pros

People there are great, outside of management

Cons

Where to start. First off, all of the positive reviews on here are from employees that were told by management to write a positive review. Seriously. Which tells you how bad it is to work here. The turnover rate is ridiculous. People are literally hired with the expectation they will be fired soon. If you interview for sales, stay away. They only last a month or two and it is impossible to make any real money here. There is no process to anything outside of the CEO telling everyone what to do all the time and his judgment on anything is suspect at best. He is a terrible manager and is clueless on how to run an organization. You are watched like a hawk and forced to work long hours. The bonuses are garbage, top are like 5%, and that's on top of a salary that is about 25% below fair market value. There is no "work/life balance". Management is full of yes men that are not qualified for their position. There is a constant feeling of unhappiness and dread that hangs over the office like a dark cloud.

Pros

Other than the CEO, friendly people to work with (as long as they remained - turnover of virtually 100% is the truth)).

Cons

I concur with all the negative comments stated. I strongly suggest anyone considering working there to please read all the reviews: You see a handful of positive retorts by UtiliSave that are in all likelihood ordered by the CEO and one or two positive comments but the overwhelming majority (99%) are extremely negative and state virtually word for word the same company shortcomings. Which would you believe? I normally don't comment on prior companies but this reminds me of the Bill Cosby situation in a sense. You don't get all these people saying the same thing unless there's truth to it. UtiliSave may respond all they wish and if you choose to believe them that's your prerogative but know that you've been forewarned. When UtiliSave replied earlier - If you didn't like it then why did you work here? Anybody in the workforce today will realize what an idiotic reply that was! Many people need a job and they don't know what they're getting into until it's too late. So I leave it up to you - believe what the overwhelming majority have said or the company shills that will probably add to the negative reviews once they leave.
