Pros

I really enjoy working at the Lakeview Chicago office. The hours are normal with minimal overtime. The providers are very easy to get along with and enjoy teaching. This is a fast paced office, however this is great because the day goes by quickly. Every day is outlined clear for me so I know what needs to get done. The office manager is fair and approachable. In addition, there are several free lunches throughout the week.

I would be lying if I said that there are any.

Cons

The managers here treat us medical assistants like fools. They don't have us the decency and respect that we deserve. Instead, they shout at us and insult us whenever they have the change to do so. This company has an extremely toxic atmosphere thanks to the horrible people comprising its management.

Most of the people that work there were amazing, not the management. There were also opportunities to work with other departments.

Cons

There was no work/life balance. Poor salary and benefits that reflect the job description you are hired for, not the work that you are actually expected to do, which is mountain of workload paired with extreme stress and pressure. While there were opportunities to work with other department, there was no actual opportunities for growth (title or salary). Management will never initiate promotion process for an employee even if he/she deserves it. It's unfair and extremely annoying and frustrating.
