One of the best companies I've ever worked for!
Pros
~ Family friendly company with diverse employees from various cultures and backgrounds. ~ Hands on Management who are approachable and have a vested interest in the employees. ~ Corporate staff are personable and responsive to employee's needs. ~ CEO is visible and accessible to all employees. ~ Excellent On-boarding process which gives new hires a great introduction to the company and to the client they will support. ~ Employees have growth opportunities and are also given constructive feedback when there is a need for improvement. ~ High performers are recognized in annual awards ceremonies and are also awarded "Spot Bonuses" throughout the year when they receive positive Customer recognition. ~ Candidates are thoroughly screened during the recruitment process, which includes eSkills testing, to insure the the right candidate is selected for the right position. ~The PHMSA contract has more than doubled in size over the last 4 years, which is directly attributed to the company having a proven record for providing quality client service. This growth includes the addition of higher level positions. ~ Monthly Lunch and Learns are a great opportunity for employees to get together and learn about various topics. Employees are also encouraged to be presenters.
Cons
Unfortunately the PHMSA contract does not permit Teleworking, however, contractors rarely work more than 8 hours days and have the flexibility to set a schedule that is conducive to their personal life. No company is perfect, but I can honestly say that Unispec is one of the best companies I've ever worked.
