      The worst-run company in the industry

      Lying to their customers about practices

      Cons

      There is hardly a work/life balance available within the company. You are forced to be online at times throughout the day and questioned of your commitment if you leave earlier than 'expected,' regardless of pulling in OT that day. Religion is constantly talked about both within the company and with clients. it is very uncomfortable to be in a meeting entirely about religion.

      Great Workplace

      Pros

      Uncommon is a good company that is growing and finding its foothold within the IT industry. The owner does care about his people and really tries to make changes to improve and change with the IT industry as a whole. There is also some compassion towards second chance individuals who have made mistakes in there lives, but as you come to find they are really good people who can't define themselves over a mistake they have made in their lives. More than ever it is a family that cares and actually cares about you as an individual. There are some individuals that have worked here for 16+ years. Like any company there are always growing pains along with growing, however I like how the company as whole is working through the obstacles and believes in itself to succeed. When you do find a home here it does become a place that you want to show up to everyday.

      Cons

      The compensation can be a struggle for some individuals and maybe has become a bit outdated from its previous MSP model. It can be stressful when relying on others to provide the work instead of finding it in your assigned smaller clients.

      Strangest place I've ever experienced

      Pros

      the highlight is working with famous murders and other ex-convicts, along with pedophiles and sex offenders.

      Cons

      all of the management the operations of the company and the engineering teams.

We use a very long vetting process to ensure we hire the right people for the job not what they have done in life.
