      Not what it appears to be......

      Pros

      Some of the people were really nice and sincere. The products were a perfect fit for the "right" person. Income potential was average to above average.

      Cons

      You are told that you will have endless leads with people that are begging for the products and paying twice as much in premium. A complete "lay down" sale. A "no brainer". You are told that it is "your business". In reality the leads are mostly broke people looking for the cheapest plan or they do not qualify health wise for the products. Training is crap. Management is demeaning. "What have you done for me lately" is the motto of the day with management.

      Pros

      There are many pros to working with a company who really does a few things. First and foremost, offer products to clients that are helpful and have common sense logic. Second, that the company treats its agents as if the agent was King, rather than the other way around. Third, working where the income, which can be very substantial, is the outcome of helping other people everyday. Fourth, the stock program is wonderful and it is awesome to get to own a piece of what you help build. And last, working with a group that is all supportive of each other, who have fun together, work hard together, and give back to the community together.

      Cons

      Agents must be self starters, who can adjust to setting their own schedule. They must have the heart of a servant and high work ethic.

      PTO accumulates quickly most coworkers are nice free soda for employees food brought in for employees

      Cons

      -high insurance premiums and high deductibles -biweekly payrolls surcharge for adding a working spouse to health insurance -old excel models that are hard to maintain -lots of manual time consuming tedious excel work and rework -no hr onsite - hr advises going to manager -peers and management too busy to train new employees -peers micromanaging new employees (manager too busy to manage direct reports so puts tenured employees to do it) -different IT groups to reach for help - can be frustrating on who can help with what
