Took a turn for the worse

Pros

Good benefits, employees were fun to work with, gave me something to put on my resume after 3 years of HARD work

Cons

Unreasonable work load. Switched to a system that hindered employees from being to work efficiently. Unreasonable goals. Favoritism in management is blatant. HR is unresponsive when you have a complaint on management because they’re all in each other’s back pocket. Your job will be jeopardized if certain management dislikes you. This company was so much fun to work with until they were sold and sold again. You cannot advance and you will be taken advantage off if you are good at what you do.

Pros

Good pay, stable financials, good benefits, growing

Cons

Everything is a fire drill with little focus on strategy or long term planning. Oh, Pae sponsor needs a projecion? Fire drill. RFP needs a response? Fire Drill. Physicians need something? Fire drill. You get the point. Then senior leadership sends around emails congratulating each other on a job well done when all they did was poorly communicate and cause more trouble.

Pros

Professional administration gives this practice strong future prospects, physician oversight provides necessary clinical focus, keeps the practice working for the benefit of the doctors and their patients. Collaboration on best practices is a major plus. Quality Metrics database is the largest of any private practice and reflects commitment to delivering high quality care.

Cons

This is a dramatic change from the traditional cottage industry anesthesia group. There is less practice management for the individual doctor, but this allows doctor more focus on clinical. While there is some loss of autonomy, there is a much better sense of stability looking forward.
