Information Technology has a pervasive bully and cliquish culture that favors some (white male) over others. The IT organization has a bully/ cliquish culture with an embedded "cover-up" mentality that has resulted in a long-standing (decades-long) organization of incompetence. A good-old-boys club,, that treats minorities differently and rewards those who are willing to throw others under-the-bus to receive favors. This culture discourages open dialogue and reporting of wrongdoing - creating a culture of cover-up and rampant bullying behavior where discrimination against women (especially) is an embedded component.
