      Had potential, but poor leadership killed any hope

      Pros

      Many smart and capable people were brought on to Turntide to do great things, and it’s fun working alongside them

      Cons

      The product simply doesn’t work. It doesn’t solve a problem in the market and there is no path to profitability. This leads to not hitting numbers quarter after quarter and failed attempts to “get back on track” with constant finger pointing between engineering, product, and sales. Best hope is that the company is acquired for parts at some point. Leadership is not capable of leading. Strategy changes week to week based on the latest book the ceo read (seriously) and what will best serve his ego (the worst kind of ego, where he says he craves direct/critical feedback but is fully incapable of hearing anything constructive).

      Vision less company with incompetent business and technical leadership

      Pros

      Once it was a great company with original ideas, great innovation spirit, and held a lot of promises for the next breakthrough in Climate Tech.

      Cons

      Bankrupt business leadership. Waves after wave of layoffs due to incompetent CEO and General Managers, who are running the company to the ground. The buildings BU which is led by leader who has no idea of business, and in general practices toxic leadership with host of integrity issues, is the worst of all.

      Pros

      There are a lot of extremely talented individuals here. A lot of them really care about the company, the bottom rungs of this company have a lot to offer. The goal of the company is very good. Individually the managers are approachable in ways ive not seen before.

      Cons

      Honestly? Where to begin! Global meetings start with 5 mins of breathing exercises or meditation. The CEO barks loyalty but then lays off 20% of his staff a week later. Promised pay reviews? Yeah they get talked about alot, but then you ask the question and your told its only going to be a very small minority getting it. The company preaches agility and decision making, but then ties your hands in legal and financial restraints to the level i've never seen before. Major projects are ignored for the next latest project. The company has no direction. Talent is squandered. And the company vision? Sure its mentioned a-lot but largely ignored for the next gimmick in town. We have this 5 fingered hand festooned around every building, which is increasing starting to look like a hand ready to slap you down. You can forget about a career here, the company wont be around long enough.
