Pros

The team and management I work with are so very amazing, I felt very welcomed into the team as soon as I started. I was encouraged to develop within my abilities from very early on. Within a few months of starting, I was in full swing in my role and enjoying it very much. The service is busy and the role varies from day to day. I particularly enjoy the way we are trained to support our service users with dignity and compassion. Everyone is on the same team and we make a change individually and as a team, which a rewarding.

Cons

Whilst the annual leave policy is structured to support staff very well, the sick leave policy and maternity leave policy are extremely outdated and inefficient in supporting employees. It was very disappointing as a new staff member to read these policies after having signed the contract as they are not reflective of caring for your staff, they are actually the opposite. However, this is something that the company allow to be discussed at a forum and staff are awaiting feedback on an official update to these policies with the hope of change.
