Pros

True is brilliant at marketing themselves. They create a beautiful image of the company, but it is like a beautiful tombstone over the grave of a rotten corpse.

Cons

The HR/People team is the most incompetent and biased that I have every worked with. They actually lied to me, more than once. The training programs treat you as if you are a 7th grader. They are thin and shallow. HR uses 'culture' and 'DEI' as both a shield and a weapon - a shield to protect them and a weapon to go after others. I have spoken with many current and former partners, principals and associates and True is anything but true and does not understand the meaning of the word integrity. The company's leadership and People Org fail, but they then blame the employees. It's sick. The company has its favorites, and the long-time Partners can do whatever they wish, without any repercussions. Deals are given out based on who likes who, not on merit. This company rode the wave of the VC-backed boom in tech, but since then they have had multiple rounds of layoffs and they are pushing people out to hide another layoff. They could get away with shallow work and recirculating the same candidates because demand was so intense.

Pros

- The people they are are intelligent and if you can find the right mentor/sponsor then you are in the best possible position to succeed. - if you can make it to Principal or Partner you have the opportunity to make good $$, but they have paused raises for the past 2 years.

Cons

- Hours are awful. People are not considerate of your personal life outside of work - You don't have 1 single manager, so everyone expects the world from you - if you don't find a mentor/sponsor within the org you are completely lost - the company values revenue over people - Partners set unrealistic deadlines for SA's to meet leading to burnout and excessive hours. - There is little to no trust given to SA's from Partners. If a SA brings a great candidate to the table, the Partner will take control of the relationship. This interferes with SA's growth and exposure. - SA's are to be silent on client calls. - There is no accountability for Partners. They are able to push work down to SA's .... everything falls on a SA.
