Pros

None, just skip working for this company .

Cons

If you decide to work for Trina Solar, make sure you have exhausted all your other options before joining one of the most horrible and terrifying companies on planet earth, or at least make sure that the actual president of Trina Solar USA is not working there anymore. This person used to be the global marketing director of the company and then was promoted to president of the US branch (which until today I don’t understand the thought process behind the higher management from Changzhou, China. Deciding and placing a person with the level of evilness and pride in a leader and client-facing position). Working for this person is one of the most horrendous experiences that I have had in my life, and if you end up working for her, expect to be yelled at, humiliated, bullied, treated with disrespect, you will not receive a “thank you” or “great job” words or any type of nice, encouraging words. This is a person who is characterized for humiliating and treating people badly. This person holds a PhD, has a very high ego, but is totally socially awkward, has zero skills for a leadership position. Any human who ends up around this person most probably will end up developing cancer or any other type of physical or mental disease, because this person is a “disease” for the human race, and unfortunately that is what Trina Solar represents; arrogance, humiliation, bullying and a disease for corporate America...the people from HR are fully aware how this person treats people, and there is a history of reports already, but no one has taken any action so far to stop her. If your options are exhausted...go ahead and good luck working under the leadership of the actual president of Trina Solar USA. Continue reading the rest of the reviews on this page, there is a common pattern in the reviews that talks about how bad the management of Trina Solar is. Most of the positive reviews are written by the executives from Trina Solar to attract talent to work for them, but don’t believe it, they could even be trolls from HR to increase the start rating of the reviews.

Pros

If you're new to the solar industry, and this is your only option, it might be an okay place to start. You will not want to be here very long, and you will not be set-up to learn/grow in your career. You will get exposure to Trina products and customers, but it's not worth it. There are better places to start your career in renewable energy.

Cons

The management is horrible. They are not competent, full of ego, vindictive, and unethical. You will have zero opportunity for career advancement, and likely will start looking for another job 3-6 months into your employment. Their benefits are horrible, and have borderline illegal activities. The culture looks good on paper, but leaders and employees do not practice what is preached.

Pros

Investors in solar know Trina. No one micromanages. Healthcare, vision, dental is fully covered. Catered lunches Friday. Great coworkers. Casual dress.

Cons

Lots of favoritism. You'll never know when management has plans to fire you. They don't have your best interest in mind. The culture is boring. Warning! If you get an offer, think more than twice. About 90% of those who accepted are already looking for another job within a year. Don't trust what the recruiter tells you. They only try to sell Trina because it's hard to find interested candidates. The changed Americas leadership team does not value employee retention. They only care about the sales team because they bring in the profits. HR sides with management and doesn't do anything about complaints. They cannot be trusted. There is no career growth. Leadership is corrupt.
