Talented colleagues, but low pay and high turnover

Pros

There are genuinely talented, hardworking, and kind people throughout the company who make day-to-day work more manageable. In some areas, you can learn a lot quickly due to the pace and exposure to different responsibilities.

Cons

Very low pay relative to workload and expectations, low morale across teams, and frequent layoffs every 6–9 months. The culture often felt more focused on control than trust, with heavy micromanagement and inconsistent communication from leadership. While flexibility and support were often mentioned, the day-to-day experience didn’t always reflect that—especially around PTO, illness, and work-life balance. Turnover was noticeably high, and many employees seemed burned out but hesitant to speak openly. Overall, the environment often felt emotionally draining and lacking psychological safety.

Pros

Management consistently had my back and took a genuine interest in my career growth. There was a strong sense of trust and autonomy, with little micromanagement, which allowed me to build confidence, independence, and leadership skills. I always felt supported in doing my best work.

Cons

Some C-level executives appeared disconnected from the fundamentals that made the agency successful. Meetings were often entered without preparation or clarity, creating confusion and inefficiency for otherwise strong teams. A lack of accountability at the leadership level made it difficult to maintain respect and alignment, and resulted in key contributors being laid off while others who added limited value remained. Leadership often seemed removed from day-to-day realities and did not consistently listen to the teams closest to the work.

Pros

not a lot, had some momentum on the back of 2020 but that's faded fast due to poor management

Cons

not an ad agency, a level of politics you'd find at holding co level companies
