Pros

- On the surface, good for 'Type A' employees with desire to grow - Internal training...learn to play by their rules or you are out - Good internal succession planning... if you can survive long enough to get promoted

Cons

- Everyone is replaceable - Zero work/life balance > even when you try. Read a review here claiming that it is on the employee - that's not accurate; if you try, you will be shunned. Work easily 60-80 hours per week with more work looming over you. Why? not enough resources -Hunger Games environment. Major layoffs at least 1 per year, if not more. -Every man for himself, literally. Only one female even close to top management.

Pros

If Financial Goals are meet, then little interference from TransDigm Upper Management. The layoffs may present some opportunity to fill the previous employees job functions.

Cons

They manage based on the following formula: 1) Borrow money to acquire a company that is a sole supplier of a product 2) Have existing managers lay off large percentage of employees to increase the profit to employee ratio, if existing managers don't comply then lay them off. 3) Slowly increase and monitor the profit to employee ratio each quarter and layoff or replace managers to meet ratio. Also increase price of products if possible. Took over great, profitable company with no debt and 8% average growth and laid off 40% of the people. This has created a number of problems due to our lack of manpower and efficiency has gone down due to: mistakes, things not getting done, Engineers and other highly trained people performing simpler tasks from removed employees. Management also acts strange sometimes due to the threat of loosing their job especially near the end of the quarter. Will expedite items at extra expense or rush testing to try and meet quarterly goals.

One of the WORST companies to work for

Pros

There are none....other than to just have a job that continues to get the rich richer!

Cons

This company does not care one bit about its employees. The only thing this company cares about is how much money they make. There is no incentive/bonus to work for this company other than to simply say you have a job. The moral is very low, and seems to be getting worse. I would not recommend working for this company at all. I have been with the company for a little while now and planning on looking for something better. You tell me how one person can get a 60 million dollar bonus check, but then want to give the employees a gift card, or better yet a merit raise that doesn't even cover gas to and from work. There is no moving up within the company, no opportunity for growth and the pay sucks. I would not even waste the time, or ink to fill out a application for this company.
