      Lack of transparency. Deceptive. Lack of career paths. Typical growing startup pains. Culture is a smokescreen. Poor financial management resulted in layoffs.

      Don't walk, RUN in the opposite direction

      Pros

      Pay was pretty good for the industry. The team culture was good, but that wasn't true in all teams. They were understanding about working hours and being fully remote. Got a free trip to Barcelona out of it.

      Cons

      Mismanagement all around. Executive leadership doesn't want to receive any critical feedback, and when they do they will almost certainly find a way to make it your fault instead of theirs. Bad leadership on finances has led the entire thing to a standstill. No budget. No change in process. Questionable changes in focus. Two RIFs in 2023, including gutting some of the most critical people. This won't last much longer, no matter how many pivots they do.

      A Company In Severe Decline

      Pros

      It was a decent position when I started, before the mass hiring and layoffs.

      Cons

      Executive leadership has a poor overall strategy, and they wonder why they continue to fail. With two mass layoffs already, a third layoff is inevitable. Don’t join this company, but if you do, just know your position will be short-lived, approximately lasting one to six months since you will be joining a very unstable company. Customers continue to churn and not enough new business is coming in. If you are a survivor, don’t wait. If you haven’t already, get your resume ready and start applying to other jobs.
