Pros

The amount of work pushes you forward. Comfortable work space with amenities like kitchen, couches, bike spot, video game, and foosball table. Lots of talented people. 50% of the employees are supportive, friendly and relatable, 20% don't care and 20% you shound't say good morning.

Cons

They don't pay extra hours (they're many). They see you as just another an asset. There is no much creative freedom. And briefings can be vague. Expect not many constructive feedbacks or polite language if it ever comes. Expect some aggressive jokes if you're a foreigner, minority, a religious person or has ESL. Immigrants don't expect trustable support. Obscene jokes and gesture can be used by some Supervisors at the most exciting moments. Bad behavior example from the top.

Pros

Located right downtown Toronto - very convenient.

Cons

Despite poor pay and a dismal office atmosphere, Thinkingbox has great employees. People who work here are genuinely talented and do great work. I have no idea why these people stick around or how the CEO keeps them employed. Speaking of the CEO... Be prepared to be treated slightly better than scum by the highly self-entitled CEO, Amir Sahba. In the time I was employed, he constantly made racist comments, referred to his employees as 'peasants', sent texts on my lunch 'WHERE ARE YOU?!', stalks employees on linkedin (I seriously have a profile view from him at least once a week...). If you're into being treated like dirt, he is the perfect employer for you. Amir is what killed the job for me - I couldn't stand working there any longer. My advise: look for a more established agency with a more vibrant and nurturing atmosphere. This company is still VERY MUCH a start-up. If you like that, then power to you! Just beware...

Pros

free snacks and cool people

Cons

the ceo is a joke. very racist. they would rather have 3 floors in an office and spend money on useless things than keep employees on their payroll. massive lay offs due to the "recession" when in reality its due to poor planning done by the ceo. won't let people wfh unless its on a day they allow.
